This is a review of the GTPOWER 3 in 1 Multi Charging Cable, 3A 2Pack Retractable USB Charger Cable with IP/USB C/Micro Ports, Phone Holder, Multiple Fast Charger for Cell Phones, IP, Samsung Galaxy, Tablets.
A multi-connector charging cable with 3 types of ‘male’ USB cable connectors at one end, and a male USB A connector at the other end, is an interesting idea for centralising a USB C connector, USB C Micro Connector, and Lightning Connector all in one ‘hub’.
And for what it is, this GTPOWER works reasonably well – it is not the fastest charger or data transfer cable, but it works.
I do feel, though, this cable is a bit of a squandered opportunity [SEE BELOW FOR DETAILS].
Overall, though, I think this is a useful accessory, and recommend it.
PROS – WHAT I LIKED
1. Very good idea that there are 3 different types of USB connectors on the hard plastic ‘container / ‘hub’ part of the GTPOWER (USB C connector, USB C Micro connector, and Lightning connector). Having these 3 connector types makes the GTPOWER fairly versatile
2. Even though the hard plastic container is more bulky than the cables would be if they were loose and spliced together, the hub does provide a little protection for the cable connectors because they fold into the hub
3. The charging speed of the GTPOWER is not especially fast – but it is not capable of the fastest charging rates because the GTPOWER does not have USB C to USB C connectors
4. Not all USB cables are data transfer cables, so it is an advantage that the GTPOWER cables do transfer data. I do not measure the speed of the data transfer, but when I transferred 20 photos from my mobile to my laptop, the transfer speed was not slow (but not all that fast)
5. A fairly compact and portable computer accessory
6. I have one other retractable USB cable computer accessory, and I have found myself liking the retractable property of the cable, and I like it in the GTPOWER, too

CONS – WHAT I DID NOT LIKE
1. Just as there are 3 types of USB connector at the ‘hub’ end of the cable, this GTPOWER would have been much more useful if there were 3 different USB connectors at the other end of the cable (either 2 x Type A, and 1 x Type C, or vice versa)
2. The fact that the the cables are so (relatively) short, is a disadvantage a lot of the time, because devices are often kept on a desk, table, or piece of furniture – i.e., somewhere off the ground – and therefore are quite likely to be a few feet away from a ground or skirting board based plug socket with a charging block plugged into it

The form factor is what I like the most about this because it is small and compact with the cables tucked into the slots, and it also protects the cable. This makes them good to take on the go or for travel. I like that each one is a different colour, and blue and white are nice.
The cable works well for charging and for data transfers, and is on par with other USB C/USB A cables I have. On a Samsung phone, it supports fast charging. The length of the cable has a max of just over 3 feet with a few preset lengths.
When charging either a Samsung phone or an iPhone with the USB-C or lightning connector, it can get quite warm on the USB-A connector end because it is metal. When charging an iPad, it gets hot to the touch. For micro-USB devices, it does not get warm but that is because those devices are not drawing too much power.
There is also a pull-out phone stand, and even though it seems a bit flimsy, it works well.
Overall, I really like the form factor, which makes it good to take on the go but it can get hot when charging devices that require a lot of power.

I ordered this in an attempt to consolidate a number of cables I use into one. This product looked promising but turned out to be weird to use. I find that the design is quite bulky and it isn’t as portable as expected. The cables are also quite stiff and difficult to use for longer distances. The retractable mechanism isn’t as useful as I thought, and I find myself still using traditional cables to this day.
Let Me Say This: –
This multi charging cable is a handy little gadget to have around. With three different connectors—USB-C, micro USB, and an iPhone charger—it covers pretty much every device in the house. The retractable design is neat because it doesn’t leave cables dangling everywhere (which the cat appreciates). It’s also good for charging on the go without having to carry multiple cords. The fact that it doubles as a phone holder is a cute bonus. I can’t say if it’s the fastest charger out there, but it gets the job done!

I received two of these in a package, one blue, one white. I found build quality to be not good. Each has a little flimsy plastic sliding element that allows you to use the block as a phone stand if you wish. On the blue one, the plastic part kept falling out. For the white one, the USB-A cord doesn’t retract all the way back into the case.
Overall these are light weight and don’t feel very sturdy.
The input side uses USB-A instead of USB-C, so charging speeds will be limited by that. However, USB-A is still pretty ubiquitous when you’re out and about.
It is convenient, however, that the opposite end of the cord has three different connectors, so, in a pinch, you can use this with most devices.
Overall, though, the flimsiness of these things is what determined the score I give it. I have similarly-sized retractable cords that provide much longer reach and which feel much more solid.
One final concern: after charging my iPhone for awhile using the USB-C connector, the cord felt a little warm. I don’t know if that’s normal or not, but I’m not used to charging cables feeling like that.

These all-in-one cables are an excellent for single-length cables that can get tangled and are cumbersome to pack. I plan to use these mostly for travel, but it’s also convenient for home use.
One the end of one cable is a standard USB-C connector. The other cable has connectors for Lightning (iPads, older iPhones), a micro USB, and USB-C. The plastic housing is sturdy and feels substantial, so it should hold up well during day-to-day use.
I like the fact that you can choose how long you want the cables to be. This gives you a lot of options when charging, depending on where the AC outlet is located. With a single-length cable, sometimes the cable is too short or too long.
A couple of tips:
It’s important to pull both ends of the cable at the same time. You can pull one at at time, but it doesn’t work as well and could gunk up the internal rewinding mechanism.
Second, unless you watched the video on the product page, you might not know (I didn’t,) that the little pull-out tab on the body of the cable serves as a little rest for you phone during charging. Very convenient!

These are very light weight and cheap feeling. I thought that they were actually batteries when I read the 3 in one, but I was wrong. They definitely aren’t.
You have to be careful when you retract them and I keep having issues with one side going into it’s spot, but the other one doesn’t correctly. Its a pain and they are just backup units for my household.
The little stand that pulls out has no stop so it comes all the way out… It does hold up a phone though, so thats a good thing.
I don’t think I’d recommend these and if I saw them in the store, I would have never got them. Just my 2 cents. I’m giving them 3 stars because they DO actually work.

Picked up this two-pack mostly to throw in bags for travel and the back seat of the car, and they’ve been doing their job well so far. Each one has a retractable charging cable inside a plastic square case, and on one end you get three plug options…Lightning, micro USB, and USB-C…which pretty much covers every device we have in the house and car.
The cables extend to a few feet, and while that’s usually long enough for charging at a desk or on a plane, it’s not ideal if your outlet is across the room. That said, the whole unit is compact and clean, and it’s way better than carrying a mess of loose cords. The retractable mechanism works best when you pull both ends at the same time. Try to yank just one, and it doesn’t always behave. It took me a couple tries to figure out the sweet spot, but once you get the rhythm, it’s smooth.
Build quality feels decent, though a little plasticky. These don’t scream premium, but for the price and convenience, I’m not expecting indestructible gear. One of them had a slightly looser phone stand than the other, but it still props up a phone just fine if you’re watching something while charging. Nice little touch. They don’t seem built to last forever, especially with a kid tugging on them in the car, but they’re easier to manage than a pile of tangled cords in the console.
One thing worth mentioning: the USB-A connector can get a little warm when charging larger devices. Nothing melted or alarming, but it’s noticeable when you unplug it. Wouldn’t leave it plugged in all day unattended, just to play it safe.
All things considered, I think they’re a smart pickup if you’re trying to cut down on clutter or keep a backup cable in your bag. Definitely not a charging powerhouse, but they’re super handy and convenient for everyday use. Worth it if you’re looking for something small, flexible, and easy to keep track of.

Picked these up to have in my car when I have passengers that need to charge their devices and they have different ones! These work perfectly for that purpose and find the travelability, ease of use and charging speeds on these to be very sufficient and worth having! Good value and would recommend these portable charging solutions!
