I bought this to transfer photos from an iPhone (13) to a PC. It did not populate External Source when plugged into iPhone, i.e., I could not open the dimmed External Source icon. Some places suggested reformatting but gave a half-dozen possible formats; however, the PC could open the storage file on the flash drive just fine. The instructions gave no hint about how to trouble-shoot this problem, even though many users have encountered this issue. There was no customer service phone number to consult.
While floundering around on the web for a fix, I learned that I could just plug an iPhone charging cord and so could forego this flash drive!
